Program Summary & Location
The Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the surrounding area is a region of growing economic and geopolitical importance to the U.S. and the world. Experience the phenomenon first-hand through the UW-Eau Claire semester and yearlong exchange with Ajou University!
Ajou University has an active student exchange program that allows students from around the world to spend a semester or a year studying at Ajou. Students can take Korean language and/or courses taught in English. The English language courses are designed for international students and Korean students to take discipline-specific course work in an international atmosphere. In particular, the program is designed to assist students who are interested in pursuing careers in Asia or with multinational corporations. To learn more, click here
South Korea faces China to the west across the Yellow Sea and Japan to the east across the Strait of Korea. Ajou University is located in Suwon, a city of approximately 1 million people. Suwon is located in northwestern South Korea and is only a half-hour drive from Seoul, the capital.
In February 2018, South Korea will host the Olympic Winter Games! The site of the Olympics is a 4 hour train ride away!

Housing & Meals
You will live on campus. Rooms are double occupancy. Each room is equipped with internet access that allows you to connect to Ajou's on-line system. Bathroom/shower and kitchen facilities are shared. You can purchase meal tickets to eat at the student cafeteria and/or cook your own food in the kitchen on your floor.
