Program Summary & Location
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and University of Glasgow are working on a new a bi-lateral study abroad and exchange agreement that will allow UWEC students to study abroad on exchange for a semester or academic year (which means you pay UWEC tuition while abroad) or as a visiting study abroad student (which means you will pay University of Glasgow non-resident fees). The number of exchange spaces will vary per year depending on the number of University of Glasgow students coming to UWEC.
During the academic year, you will be allowed to take course work across the University of Glasgow curriculum provided that you have adequate pre-requisite knowledge. You will take courses with other U of Glasgow students. If you are looking for a taste of big city living, the University of Glasgow may be the place for you. One of the oldest and most prestigious research universities in the UK, it is also one of the largest, with a student population approaching 20,000. Complete details are at http://www.gla.ac.uk/

UW-Eau Claire students can also participate in the U of Glasgow International Summer School. Depending on courses chosen, the summer school runs 3, 4 or 8 weeks, and you will study with other US and international students.

Housing & Meals
During the semester, University of Glasgow offers study abroad housing in one of 7 university halls, some of which offer more traditional dorm-style rooms and some of which have
apartment-style housing. Most are self-catering, meaning you cook your own meals. Click here
Summer accommodation is in single rooms in a shared apartment in a university residence. You will have an equipped kitchen; there is no meal plan.

If the term you want to go abroad is not listed, please see the most recent term and add 7% to your estimate to factor in exchange rate fluctuations and tuition increases.
