You may apply as a first year student, but must have at least sophomore standing by the time the program begins. No previous knowledge of the Greek language is needed.

In this program you will take 3-6 credits (1-2 courses) that are taught, in English, in subjects such as Art History, Business, Computer Science, European Studies, History, and Politics. The summer program is open to all majors. Classes will be with other Americans and international students. If students plan to use financial aid in the summer, they need to be enrolled in at least 6 credits. If any individual course is four credits, there will be an additional fee for the fourth credit.

You can view available courses on the ACT Academic Life website. The summer 2019 courses have been posted and this is how they will come back to UWEC:

Volunteer Opportunities
There are a number of volunteer opportunities in Greece, however, on the summer program, you may not have as much time to volunteer as you would in the semester. If you are interested in volunteering in the summer, it is recommended that you enroll in the Service Learning course that is being offered in 2019.
