Suwon, South Korea Summer Academics

Eligibility

To apply, you must be a currently enrolled, degree-seeking, undergraduate UW-Eau Claire student. You need to be in good-academic, conduct and financial standing. You also need to have a cumulative GPA of 2.3. You must maintain enrollment and continue to meet the academic standing and GPA requirements the semester prior to departure. You may apply as a first year student, but must have at least sophomore standing by the time the program begins. No previous study of Korean language is required.

Courses

The Ajou International Summer School is composed of one six-week session. During the six-weeks, you will take two courses for a total of six credits.  Final course offerings have been confirmed typically in April. Course offerings may change due to enrollment and faculty availability. 

The 2017 Summer program did not run and the status of 2018 is still unknown, the website will be updated once the CIE learns more.  

Liberal Education Requirements

For students in catalog years 2016-17 and later, this program can fulfill an Integrate Learning (I1) requirement upon completion of the integrated learning assignments while abroad. Please contact your study abroad coordinator for more details.  

Academic Calendar

In the past, the summer program was for six weeks and began in late June and ended in early August. Exact program dates are determined the semester prior to departure.
