Level of Support: Lorenzo de'Medici, Italy

On-Site Staff:

Lorenzo de'Medici staff offers student support at all three of its locations. Housing is arranged in student apartments and all three cities; homestays are an option in Tuscania or for the Rome summer STEM program. Students studying at the Tuscania campus have the option of an airport pickup service in Rome. Each campus holds an orientation upon arrival to help students meet and adjust to their new surroundings. All three campuses offer several local cultural events and longer field trips that are either included in the program fees or are at additional cost.

Health & Disability Resources:

English-speaking medical services close to the main LdM campus in Florence are accommodating to international students and accept CISI insurance. If you choose to study in Rome or Tuscania, LdM staff will help you locate access medical care as necessary. The Florence campus has two English-speaking counselors available to international students, while students in Rome or Tuscania will work with LdM staff to locate such services.

The following academic accommodations are available upon official verification of a learning disability: Italian language tutoring, administration of exams in separate classrooms, and extra time for completion of exams. To explore the possibility of accommodations for other disabilities, contact your UWEC study abroad coordinator.
