Level of Support: USAC, Lyon, France

On-Site Staff:

Université Lumière Lyon 2-Berges du Rhône campus has both an International Office and a USAC Resident Director that provides student support services for American students while abroad. USAC assigns you to live in either residence halls near campus or home stays in the Lyon area. USAC provides an airport pickup service for students who choose to participate in the group flight option. The Resident Director also coordinates an orientation upon arrival, as well as a few excursions and costs for those are included in the program fees. 

USAC does organize a field study and/or tour option each semester for an additional fee. 

Health & Disability Resources:

Université Lumière Lyon 2 does not have an on-campus clinic, however there are several in the area, including a hospital right next to the university. The Resident Director can provide recommendations for English-speaking doctors in the area, and can also accompany you if necessary. The CIEF (Centre International d'Études Francais) requires that all international students have student insurance from one of two French agencies near campus, that can be used in addition to the your CISI insurance from UWEC.
