Level of Support: England Faculty-Led Immersion
On-Site Resources:
This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 12-14 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff. The summer 2019 program will be led by Dr. Louisa Rice (History) and Dr. Patricia Turner (History). They will be your first step for any on-site support you need.Health & Disability Resources:
Each city you visit has quality medical facilities should you need them. The University of Winchester does not have a health center on campus; however, they work closely with three local doctor’s offices (know as “surgeries” in the U.K.). One of the doctors offers on-campus appointments. The University does have counselors on staff that students can access through the Student Services offices. Additionally, our local partners can recommend quality doctors or hospitals nearby.More Information:
If you still have questions on level of support, you can contact Jeff DeGrave (Intercultural Immersion Coordinator) by calling 715-836-4471 or emailing degravjr@uwec.edu.After acceptance into the program, you will obtain more information about services, at your program location, in your program guide and in orientation materials.
