Level of Support: Belize Faculty-Led Immersion

On-Site Resources:

This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 10-12 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff. The Winterim 2018 program will be led by Dr. Todd Wellnitz (Biology) and Kimberly Wellnitz (Advising, Retention + Career Center). They will be your first step for any on-site support you need.

Throughout the program, students interact with our in-country partners, Belizean guides, bus drivers, boat captains, and locals. Previous programs have revealed the openness of Belizeans and their willingness to share their experiences and ideas, so they can be a good resource for any questions or concerns that you have.

Health & Disability Resources:

This program works with knowledgeable in-country partners for all parts of the itinerary, and they can help recommend quality doctors or hospitals near all the locations you visit.
