Level of Support: Senegal Faculty-Led Immersion
On-Site Resources:
This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 17-18 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff. The Winterim 2018 program will be led by Dr. Leah Olson-McBride (Social Work) and Holly Hassemer (Advising, Retention + Career Center). They will be your first step for any on-site support you need. The program also partners with Tostan Training Center, an African-based organization working directly with rural communities leading their own development.Health & Disability Resources:
The local staff at Tostan Training Center are knowledgeable about quality doctors or hospitals, and will assist you with any questions or concerns. The CISI insurance website can also provide English-speaking medical facilities in other cities in Senegal.More Information:
