Level of Support: Nicaragua Faculty-Led Immersion

On-Site Resources:

This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 10-12 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff.  The faculty leaders will be your first step for any on-site support you need.

This programs also partners with Colibri Spanish School located in Matagalpa. Their local staff coordinate the host families, Spanish classes, site visits, and excursions. They are excellent resources for any questions or concerns you might have.

Health & Disability Resources:

There are health facilities in Matagalpa, and local partners at the Colibri Spainsh School can help you access quality medical care.

More Information:

If you still have questions on level of support, you can contact Jeff DeGrave (Intercultural Immersion Coordinator) by calling 715-836-4471 or emailing degravjr@uwec.edu.

After acceptance into the program, you will obtain more information about services, at your program location, in your program guide and in orientation materials.
