Themes

Postcard Perfect: We are looking for a photo that you would print on a postcard! It can be a place, landscape, person, location, and much more!

#BlugoldsAbroad: We are looking for photos of you! We want to see you fully experiencing your study abroad program! If you are representing UW-Eau Claire in some fashion, that is even better!

Eligibility

Must be currently enrolled or alum of a UWEC sponsored study abroad program (International Fellow Participants, Intercultural International Immersion participants are eligible as well).

If you've entered a past contest, you are more than welcome to submit different photos to this one.

Guidelines/Tips

  • Photo(s) must relate to the themes
  • You can submit TWO photos per category but do not have to submit to each category.
  • Submitted photos must be of high quality 3- 6MB+ and at least 8 megapixels or better. No filters please! The more original, the better!
  • Keep photo content appropriate – no excessive alcohol, drugs or related paraphernalia, or sexual content. If you’re not sure, err on the side of caution.
  • Use photos that belong to you! We understand that you may not have necessarily taken a photo that has you in it, but we want you to be the owner of the photo (i.e. it was taken with your phone/camera). We just don't want you stealing a photo that belongs to a friend.
  • No Instagram or Snapchat photos – sorry the quality is not good and we want these to look great if printed
  • All individuals in the photo must consent to the submission of the photo.
  • Photos should be interesting, compelling, and awe-inspiring and evoke emotion in the viewer.
