Program Summary & Location
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been sending students to Southern Cross University (SCU) in Lismore since 1995. Hundreds of students have studied on the program to date.
As a UW-Eau Claire student at Southern Cross, you will be immersed in the life of an Australian university student. You can choose from all courses offered at SCU that semester and will end up taking three courses (total of 12 UWEC credits). You will take classes from Australian professors, with Australian classmates and other international students.
SCU is located in Lismore, Australia, a city with a population around 45,000. Lismore is a 30 minute drive from the beaches of Ballina and 45 minutes from Byron Bay. Campus itself is nestled within a rainforest and it is likely you'll encounter a koala on campus.

Housing & Meals
You will live in campus housing in a six bedroom co-ed apartment. Recreational facilities and organized social events are available, and a strong effort is made to house international and Australian students together, but is never guaranteed. You'll cook your own meals in the apartment kitchens or occasionally eat at one of the food shops on campus.
