Religious Diversity Abroad

Religion has a varying importance and role depending on which country you go to. The Center for International Education advises all students going abroad to research the religions practiced in your host country and be aware of the etiquette to follow to be respectful of all beliefs. The Center of International Education will provide all study abroad candidates with some basic information on the religions practiced in the host country.

You might also be interested in practicing your own religion in your host country. While most countries do have places of worship for all major religions, their location might be far from the location of your program. Contact your study abroad coordinator for information on places of worship available as well as special requests in relation to your religion, such as dietary restrictions or prayer times.
