Level of Support: University of Winchester, Winchester, England

On-Site Staff:

The International Office staff at the University of Winchester offers support to students during their time abroad, including a free coach (bus) pick-up service on the designated arrival day from Heathrow airport. You will have housing in one of three on-campus housing facilities. The International Office also coordinates an international student orientation during the first few days after arrival. All students are automatically members of the Student Union, that hosts all types of events at no or low cost, and offers 3-4 day trips for international students each term.

Health & Disability Resources:

The University does not have a health center on campus; however, they work closely with three local doctor’s offices (know as “surgeries” in the U.K.). One of the doctors offers on-campus appointments. The University does have counselors on staff that students can access through the Student Services offices. In addition to counseling, they also provide workshops and other events to help promote mental wellbeing.

The Disabilities & Learning Diversity Team offers resources and support for students with disabilities (scroll down to Disability & Learning Diversity).
