Level of Support: Czech Republic Faculty-Led Immersion

On-Site Resources:

This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 10-12 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff. The summer 2018 program will be led by Dr. Cathy Thorsen (Special Education) and Professor Kirstin Rossi (Special Education). They will be your first step for any on-site support you need. You will also have the opportunity to meet various Czech families and primary school teachers, who can be a resource for any questions or concerns you have.

Health & Disability Resources:

Prague, as well as all other cities on the program's itinerary, has many nearby medical facilities should you need them. Our in-country partners and host families can help recommend quality doctors or hospitals.

More Information:

If you still have questions on level of support, you can contact Shanti Freitas (Faculty-Led Immersion Coordinator) by calling 715-836-6037 or emailing

After acceptance into the program, you will obtain more information about services, at your program location, in your program guide and in orientation materials.
