Level of Support: Argentina Faculty-Led Immersion

On-Site Resources:

This is a faculty-led immersion program, which means you will travel with 10-12 other UW-Eau Claire students and 2 UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff. The summer 2019 program will be led by Dr. Karen O'Day (Art & Design) and other faculty TBD. They will be your first step for any on-site support you need.

The program is based at the Universidad de Congreso in Mendoza, Argentina. It is a university of about 3100 undergraduate students with 14 undergraduate degree programs. Within Universidad de Congreso, the Puente Program coordinates the daily lectures in English from Argentine faculty, excursion activities, and host families that are part of this immersion. The local coordinator of the Puente Program is also a good resource for questions or concerns you might have. You will also have the opportunity to meet local college students at the University and through your host families.

Health & Disability Resources:

The city of Mendoza has many nearby medical facilities should you need them. The in-country partners at the Universidad de Congreso Puente Program can help recommend English-speaking doctors or hospitals.
